(If you were here last week, skip a few paragraphs and meet my friend. Otherwise, read on.)
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. I grew up singing those words along with Julie Andrews but now I have my own list of favorite things.
To those who read my words and follow my blog, I’m going to do something different and new. The next few weeks, are going to be hectic for me and I am going to be working on some new writing projects so I’m going to step away from blogging for a few weeks. During my time away, I’m going to share a few of my favorite things with you – a writer, a podcaster, a ministry leader, a fitness coach and a few ministries I participate in and love.
I will be sharing my favorite people behind my favorite things because I think you’ll love them as much as I do. These are people I actually know. Some have been in my home and some haven’t – yet. But I do life with them. The convenience of technology allows us to cook together, unload the dishwasher, iron, coif our hair, drive and drink coffee – among other mundane things.
So, grab a mug of java or your favorite tea, get comfy and join me as I share with you the women I laugh with – and at times, cry with, sweat with and serve with.

I’m so excited to share my friend, Lisa, with you. We live in the same city but didn’t know each other until we attended a conference in North Carolina. The social media gods introduced us. Really, mutual friends back home saw we were at the same conference and connected us. Two years later, we ran into each other again at a conference in our own state. We attended the same conference the next year, and afterwards decided to stay in touch. A group text was to restrictive so we started a Marco Polo group.
Ya’ll, these women make me laugh! We Marco Polo (MP) almost on a daily basis. We MP in the car (mostly me), while doing our hair, (not mostly me) and while driving home from the gym (mostly Lisa.) I love waking up to encouraging texts from my “Sistas.” We talk about the technical aspects of blogging, writing, and speaking. We talk about the spiritual aspect of blogging, writing and speaking. We talk about marriage, kids and grandkids. We even talk about our Christmas decorations – or lack thereof (not me but I won’t name names.)
This writing and speaking journey is no longer lonely because of my friends. I do life with them and I trust them. You can trust them.
There are other gals in our group and you will “meet” them in the weeks to come.
Today, I introduce you to Lisa. Her podcast teaches me, challenges me and encourages me. I know it will you too. Follow the links and subscribe to her podcasts. You won’t regret it.
Here’s Lisa ~
Welcome to the Warrior SHE a place where every woman is encouraged to realize the warrior within.
I’m Lisa Wagner, a writer, teacher, podcaster, and recovering perfectionist, seeking to find the simplest way to explain spiritual warfare to others. I’d love to tell you that what you read here will be the perfect solution for all your problems. But I realize that’s just not possible. However, I can assure you that all of the podcasts and posts will be centered around the theme of Women Warriors because that is my passion, and how I believe God desires we see ourselves this side of heaven.
What you’ll find on my site is based on the Bible because that is where God’s truth can be found; a stable foundation on which we can build our lives.
Warrior, we are all standing on the battlefield every day, waging war for our identity. And there is an enemy who is very keen on stealing the blessings God intended for us, one tiny whispered lie at a time. But I don’t want to see you face that alone! And I will do whatever it takes to be transparent and truthful so that you may fully realize the warrior within.
Here’s a little personal scoop about me.
I married my college sweetheart (ahem…) a lot of years ago and we have two beautiful daughters, both on the verge of their own independence. So what better time for me to re-bloom as well! And these are the latest of my passions:
-
- My newest form of exercise is BOXING!
- I’m learning the art of ARCHERY with my compound bow
- I’m trying to kick my sugar addiction (ugh… for the LOVE of all things chocolate!)
If I can answer any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at author@thewarriorshe.com I’ve tried to make the PODCAST easily accessible. Listen to it live from the embedded player in each post, or on iTunes, SoundCloud, Stitcher or GooglePlay or Spotify. I’d love to hear from you!. Leave me a comment on the podcast page. Submit a REVIEW on iTunes. And PLEASE spread the word… share this with your friends. The more Warriors who join our Tribe, the stronger we become!
